So How Do You Get Started?
The first thing you need to do is to set a goal. I know everyone say they want to lose weight but how much do you actually want to lose?
Set a realistic goal that you’ll be committed to work as hard as possible to achieve. On the low end, that could be 1.5 pounds per week. That would be a total of 12 pounds in 8 weeks. At the high end that could be 2.5 pounds per week which would be about 20 pounds.
You know your body and how much weight you need to lose so make an educated decision. Don’t set a goal to high because if you don’t hit it, you’ll feel disappointed and will drift back into old habits and sabotage everything good that you have done. You also should not set a too small goal that doesn’t challenge you. You want a goal that it is a little scary but not impossible given your resources.
The next thing you need to do is to work on a plan that you’ll be committed to follow. Forget about quick fixed and don’t even think about the “flat tummy tea amazon” fad that is circulating on social media. Do some research and find a diet plan that you will enjoy and be able to stick to long term.
Just remember that proper dieting and exercise will be the key to your success. Eight weeks is a lot of time if you get started today. It’s also a short period of time if you look at it from the perspective of yes I can do this and it will soon be over. Just imagine how you’ll look 8 weeks from now. More over, you’ll develop some healthy habits that can last for a lifetime.
